The 13 cast members of Netflix’s Single’s Inferno 5 came together for a glamorous pictorial featured in the February issue of ELLE Korea.
Released on January 20th, the new season has already sparked major buzz, marking the show’s return after a yearlong hiatus. On set, the 13 contestants brought unmistakable energy, filling the shoot with pure dopamine.
Following the photoshoot, each participant sat down for individual interviews. The six female contestants—Mina Sue Choi, Lee Joo Young, Kim Min Ji, Kim Go Eun, Ham Ye Jin, and Park Hee Sun—along with the seven male contestants—Lim Soo Bin, Lee Sung Hoon, Woo Sung Min, Song Seung Il, Kim Jae Jin, Yoon Hyun Jae, and Shin Hyun Woo—spoke candidly and seriously about their views on love and dating.

When asked about the role love plays in their lives, most of the cast described it as “the driving force of life” and “the biggest slice of what life is about,” revealing a confident determination to pursue romance without holding back.
Kim Min Ji, who went viral under the nickname “Track and Field Karina,” shared, “I realized I’m someone who grows through love. I fall easily and get hurt easily, but I think enduring all of that is what makes me stronger.”

Former model Song Seung Il added, “I was curious about who I’d become when I was cut off from electronic devices and forced to focus solely on the emotion of love.” Yoon Hyun Jae said, “The reason I want to be a good person is because of love. You could say love is everything to me.”
Meanwhile, Mina Sue Choi shared a more reflective take, saying, “I still believe you have to know how to love yourself before you can love someone else.”

The tangled romance lines of the 13 singles will continue to unfold over four weeks, with new episodes released every Tuesday at 5 PM KST on Netflix.
