MC Mong has vehemently denied allegations of a years-long affair with Chairwoman Cha Ga Won, the head of P.ARK Group and his co-founder at the entertainment agency One Hundred.

MC Mong took to social media on December 24th to refute the rumors, releasing stock transfer agreements and text messages to support his defense. He announced plans to file lawsuits against the media outlet that broke the story, as well as Cha Jun Young, Chairwoman Cha’s paternal uncle, whom he accuses of orchestration and blackmail.

Earlier that day, The Fact reported that MC Mong and the married Chairwoman Cha were romantically involved. The report cited KakaoTalk messages between the two and alleged that a controversial 12 billion won $8.6 million) loan from Cha to MC Mong was made because of their romantic relationship.

MC Mong claims the “evidence” of an affair was fabricated as part of a scheme by Chairwoman Cha’s uncle, Cha Jun Young, to seize control of the company.

“Cha Ga Won’s uncle sent me fake documents, suggesting we take over the company together while promising to keep me as the second-largest shareholder,” MC Mong explained. He shared photos of a shareholder list and a handwritten contract he claims the uncle used to lure him in.

Regarding the alleged romantic texts leaked by the media, MC Mong was firm: “They didn’t just piece together existing messages; they created new ones that never existed on KakaoTalk.

He went on to describe a violent confrontation, alleging that the uncle’s associates came to his home. “They threw things, slapped me and threatened me like thugs, forcing me to stamp a contract that was fabricated,” he stated. “I left the company with the desire to protect it from the uncle’s influence.”

The scandal comes amidst a high-stakes financial legal battle. Chairwoman Cha recently sued MC Mong for the return of the 12 billion won loan. A court issued a payment order last month, which reportedly became final after MC Mong failed to file an objection within the legal timeframe.

MC Mong addressed this, stating, “This is not a lawsuit issue but a relationship where I am naturally obligated to fulfill my debt. I swear I have never been in an inappropriate relationship.”

He concluded his statement by reiterating his motive: “What do I have to fear when all the messages are fabricated? I wanted to protect Big Planet Made Entertainment and One Hundred from Cha Jun Young, someone who fabricated my friendship with Cha Ga Won and threatened me to take the company from his own niece.”
