Netflix has officially confirmed a January 20th global premiere for Single’s Inferno Season 5, kicking off 2026 with another round of scorching romance and no-filter flirting.
Marking a first for Netflix Korea variety show, Single’s Inferno enters its fifth season as the network’s longest-running dating reality series. The concept remains simple—and brutal: singles are stranded on a remote island called “Inferno,” where the only way out is to pair up successfully.
The show’s global footprint has only grown stronger with each season. Season 1 became the first Korean show to enter Netflix’s Global Top 10 (Non-English TV), Season 2 stayed on the chart for four consecutive weeks, and Season 3 hit a new peak with five weeks near the top and Top 10 rankings in 31 countries. Most recently, Season 4 set a franchise record for highest first-week viewing hours, reaffirming the show’s status as dating reality’s reigning powerhouse.
Season 5 looks ready to push even further. Longtime producer Kim Jae Won, who has led the series since its debut, described reaching a fifth season as “overwhelming,” crediting the participants and fans who have supported the show from the start.
The newly unveiled teaser sets the tone immediately, teasing a bold new cast of singles locked in a no-holds-barred flirting war. Sugary pick-up lines collide with blunt, unfiltered remarks, hinting at a Paradise that’s more intoxicating—and an Inferno that’s sharper, messier, and hotter than ever. Even in its short runtime, the teaser highlights the cast’s intense presence, sending anticipation into overdrive.
“This season focuses on the core thrill of dating—the flutter,” Kim explained. “You’ll see much more diverse relationships and stronger characters.” He added that viewers can expect “dynamics they’ve never seen before.”
Single’s Inferno Season 5 premieres January 20th, exclusively on Netflix.
