Jang Ki Yong and Ahn Eun Jin‘s romance is spiraling in Dynamite Kiss, and global viewers can’t get enough.
The SBS drama has sparked explosive reactions not only in Korea but around the world, thanks to its thrilling four-way romance. The series recently hit No. 1 globally on Netflix’s non-English chart (November 24th–30th). After debuting at No. 3 in its first week and rising to No. 2 in its second, it has now claimed the top spot in just three weeks—solidifying its breakout momentum.
Earlier episodes saw Gong Ji Hyuk witnessing a kiss between Kim Sun Woo and Yoo Ha Young, leading him to mistakenly believe they were having an affair. Determined to protect Go Da Rim from getting hurt, he stepped in—but just as he did, Da Rim collapsed in front of him. Ji Hyuk carried her to the ER and even hung up a call from Sun Woo on her phone, thinking to himself, “I wish I were the only one by your side. I must be losing my mind.”
On the 3rd, the Dynamite Kiss production team released stills immediately after Episode 6’s ending, showing Ji Hyuk and Da Rim looking at each other with raw emotion. In the photos, Ji Hyuk sits by Da Rim’s bedside in the ER, watching over her as she sleeps. Every glance reveals how deeply he cares. When Da Rim wakes up, she looks startled to find him there, especially after telling him she didn’t want to trouble him anymore.
The production team teased even more emotional turbulence ahead. “In Episode 7, Ji Hyuk and Da Rim are swept into a storm of feelings as their love for each other intensifies. Even though both tell themselves they shouldn’t, they can’t stop being drawn to one another.”
They also praised the leads’ performances: “Because the upcoming scenes demand major emotional range, Jang Ki Yong and Ahn Eun Jin’s delicate, layered acting will truly shine. The two discussed their characters’ shifting emotions on set and crafted even more dramatic moments together. We hope viewers will continue to watch with anticipation.”
