Lee Je Hoon and his fellow cast members gathered for the first table read of Taxi Driver 3, giving fans a taste of the tight-knit synergy and energy to come.
Today, SBS’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama Taxi Driver 3 (written by Oh Sang Ho, directed by Kang Bo Seung) released photos from the reading session led by Lee Je Hoon and Kim Eui Sung. The series centers on a secretive Rainbow Taxi Company, where Lee portrays Kim Do Ki, a driver who carries out vigilante-style revenge on behalf of wronged victims. Taxi Driver is adapted from the webtoon of the same name and has previously aired in 2021 (Season 1) and 2023 (Season 2), earning strong fan support.
Season 3 brings the whole Rainbow crew back together: Lee Je Hoon reprises his role as driver Kim Do Ki, alongside Kim Eui Sung as chief Jang Seong Cheol, Pyo Ye Jin as hacker Go Eun, and Jang Hyeok Jin and Bae Yu Ram returning as the engineer duo Choi and Park.
A unique aspect of this reading was that director Kang Bo Seung walked the cast through storyboards and visuals as they read aloud, letting them align tone and expression to the visuals from the start.
Lee shared his excitement: “I’m so grateful and happy that we can do Season 3. I’m proud of my family-like cast. I think we’ll show a story even stronger than previous seasons. I’ve been preparing more varied ‘alter ego’ sides of my character. I really want to show it to viewers soon. Please look forward to what Kim Do Ki and ‘Rainbow Crew’ will pull off.”
Taxi Driver 3 is scheduled to premiere on November 21st.
