Disney Plus has set an October 10th premiere for its new series, Would You Marry Me, and released the first teaser trailer and poster.
Would You Marry Me? is a romantic comedy series that follows the sweet but chaotic 90-day fake marriage of a man and a woman determined to win a luxury home as a prize.
The new teaser poster cleverly asks the title’s question, but instead of an engagement ring, it features a miniature model of a house, hinting at the couple’s high-stakes arrangement. The accompanying trailer introduces viewers to Woo Ju (played by Choi Woo Shik) and Mary (played by Jung So Min), who team up after an unexpected encounter.
Mary is a down-on-her-luck designer struggling with a grueling daily life and a recent broken engagement. Woo Ju, on the other hand, appears perfect on the outside, but his quirky charm and hidden flaws create an unpredictable story.
The plot kicks off when Mary wins a contest for a luxury home for newlyweds, with the catch that only married couples are eligible. Desperate, she propositions Woo-ju to be her fake husband, launching their complicated and hilarious life as a fake married couple. A key line from the trailer, where Mary asks, “Would you be my husband?” paired with Woo Ju’s shocked reaction, promises great chemistry between the two stars.
Would You Marry Me will stream exclusively on Disney Plus, with new episodes dropping every Friday and Saturday beginning October 10th.
