Netflix has dropped the teaser for Genie, Make a Wish, reuniting Kim Woo Bin and Suzy in a genre-blending romantic comedy laced with magic, menace, and irresistible chemistry. The series premieres worldwide on October 3rd.
The story follows a genie (played by Kim Woo Bin) freed after a thousand years of captivity, only to find himself bound to Ga Young (Suzy), his icy and psychopathic new master. With three wishes on the line, the pair spar in a high-stakes battle where survival collides with desire.

The teaser makes clear this isn’t your typical fairy-tale genie. In a chilling moment, he warns: “He’s not your run-of-the-mill genie, but a truly evil one—to use a name you may recognize, it’s ‘Satan.’” The line sets the tone for a darker, more dangerous twist on the classic legend.
The released poster also captures their volatile relationship: Genie looming with menace while Ga Young fearlessly presses a hairpin to his throat. The trailer builds on that tension with glimpses of fiery confrontations, cat-and-mouse banter, and flashes of vulnerability as Ga Young laughs and weeps, hinting at hidden depths behind her ruthless façade.
Genie, Make a Wish promises a mix of fantasy spectacle, suspense, and romance, making it one of the fall’s buzziest K-dramas. The series streams exclusively on Netflix starting October 3rd.
