Hani has spoken publicly for the first time about postponing her wedding following a tragic incident at her fiancé Yang Jae Woong’s psychiatric clinic.

On the July 7th episode of MBN’s Dr. Oh’s Stay, Hani appeared on the show’s second season and opened up about deeply personal concerns she’s kept hidden until now.

“I started working in the entertainment industry so young,” she said. “When my contract ended, I realized I didn’t really understand how the world works. I was like a big fish in a small pond.” Reflecting on recent events, she shared, “I’ve come to understand that life doesn’t always go the way I want. I can’t choose the things that happen to me.”

Hani admitted that she often feels overly self-conscious and said, “I want to stop being that way. It’s exhausting, but the environment I’m in keeps pushing me to walk on eggshells.” She continued, “Lately, I’ve started letting go of the urge to control my life. It made me wonder, ‘Is it okay to live like this?’”

The teaser for next week’s episode revealed even more vulnerable moments, including Hani’s emotional response to the death that occurred at her fiancé’s clinic—a tragedy that led the couple to put their wedding plans on hold. “For the first time, I felt really depressed,” she admitted. “I just couldn’t go on like that. The pressure got so intense, I wanted to run away.”

She also shared, “People around me said, ‘Why walk on a path of thorns?’” prompting actress Ko So Young, one of the hosts on the show, to respond, “It seems like you wanted to get married, but when it started to feel real, it clashed with everything.”
