Police have caught a Chinese woman in her 30s for attempting to break into BTS  member Jungkook’s residence.

On June 12th, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul revealed that they had arrested a Chinese national on charges of attempted housebreaking. She is currently being investigated.

According to police, the woman was apprehended at the scene around 11:20 PM on June 11th after repeatedly trying to enter Jungkook’s home by pressing the door lock code at his residence in Seoul. Officers responded to a report and arrested her on-site.

The woman reportedly told police that she came to Korea “to see Jungkook, who has been discharged from the military.” Authorities are currently investigating the full details of the incident.

Despite their global popularity, BTS members continue to suffer from repeated stalking incidents by obsessive fans. During a social media live while on military leave last year, Jungkook expressed frustration over his new home address being leaked, with some fans sending packages and food deliveries. He pleaded with fans to respect his privacy.

In 2023, fellow member V was also stalked by a woman who followed him into his apartment elevator and handed him a marriage registration form.
