ASTRO member and actor Cha Eun Woo‘s international fans are staging a truck protest, calling on his agency to “protect the artist.”

On April 21st, some members of Cha Eun Woo’s fandom sent a truck to Fantagio’s headquarters in Gangnam. The truck’s LED screen displayed messages such as: “Cha Eun Woo has made the most sacrifices for the team and taken the most hits, yet Fantagio is just standing by and doing nothing,” “Take strong action regarding the baseless slander involving Cha Eun Woo,” “Pay attention to protecting the artist, supporting his solo activities, and planning for long-term development,” and “Don’t just focus on making money—protect Cha Eun Woo properly. The fans are watching, so do your job.”

The protesters claimed that baseless attacks intensified after the release of a memorial song for the late Moonbin, and the agency has remained passive and inactive despite the serious harm being done to the artist.

On April 19th, a tribute song titled “Moon” was released to commemorate ASTRO member Moonbin. The project featured 22 of Moonbin’s close friends, including ASTRO members Cha Eun Woo, MJ, Jinjin, and Sanha; Moonbin’s younger sister, Moon Sua, from the group Billlie; SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan and Dokyeom; and VIVIZ’s SinB—many of whom are part of the “’98s” friendship circle. It was reported that Cha Eun Woo took a leading role in organizing the tribute. However, some netizens accused them of using the late Moonbin for profit and criticized both him and his agency.

Last month, a rumor spread through the controversial YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute, also known as Hover Lab Inc., claiming that Cha Eun Woo did not attend the funeral of the late actress Kim Sae Ron and only sent flowers. This rumor stirred controversy but was later confirmed to be false.

During their discussion about Kim Sae Ron’s funeral, the YouTube channel’s host specifically mentioned Cha Eun Woo and his manager, saying they “deserve punishment,” further fueling speculation.

Fans have since pointed out that Cha Eun Woo has never filed a lawsuit in the nine years since his debut, and they are now urging the agency to take strong legal action.
