As the Justice of the Constitutional Court of Korea ruled to remove former president Yoon Suk Yeol from office on April 4th, several major figures in the entertainment industry shared heartfelt and at times humorous reactions.

Actor Lee Dong Wook took to fan communication platform Bubble to write, “Gosh… it’s finally spring. Winter was way too long.” He added, “It was supposed to rain today, but the skies are clear. Get outside, enjoy the weather, and have a great Friday night.” Lee previously hinted at his political stance during the impeachment process by posting a photo of Girls’ Generation’s “Into the New World” with the caption, “Spring feels one step closer.”

Singer Lee Seung Hwan shared a heartfelt message on Instagram: “Our Constitution is precise and our democracy is strong. Long live Korea.” He continued, “I’m drinking tonight at Dream Factory. I avoid alcohol during concerts, and even my ENT doctor said I shouldn’t… but how could I not drink today?” He even shared a photo of a snack box for drinks his fans bought for him.

Actress Shin So Yul also posted a celebratory message: “Congratulations, everyone. Let’s live honestly and righteously from here on. Let’s welcome spring together,” alongside a photo of the court’s ruling broadcast.

Musical actress Jung Young Ju shouted “Manse!”—a Korean cheer for “hurrah”—the moment acting chief justice Moon Hyung Bae read the verdict, while her fellow musical actress Kim Ji Woo wrote, “My chronic migraines vanished the moment I heard the ruling like magic.”

Filmmaker Byun Young Joo posted a screenshot of the breaking news on Instagram with the caption, “Time to pack up.”

Singer Tei, who coincidentally celebrated his birthday that day, posted a bouquet next to a livestream of the decision with the caption, “My history, our history. April 4th, a historic day.” Guitarist Shin Dae Chul simply wrote, “We won! I’m in tears.”
