
Jennie has made history as the first K-pop solo artist to be honored at Billboard’s Women in Music awards, while aespa joined an esteemed list of recognized K-pop groups at the event.
On March 29th, Jennie attended the Billboard Women in Music 2025 ceremony at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, where she was presented with the Global Force Award.
Expressing her gratitude, Jennie said, “I’m truly honored and proud to receive the Global Force Award in a room filled with such inspiring women. I draw strength from incredible women all over the world, and I hope to continue being someone who can positively influence others.”
Billboard Women in Music celebrates the most impactful female artists, creators, producers, and executives shaping the music industry. Billboard previously described Jennie as “a one-of-a-kind artist whose explosive global influence has been undeniable since launching her solo career.”
Looking ahead, Jennie is set to take the stage solo at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 13th and 20th, marking another milestone in her career.

Meanwhile, aespa took home the Group of the Year award at the same event.

The group shared their excitement, saying, “aespa supports all women chasing their dreams, and we hope everyone gets the chance to fully unlock their potential. We’ve had so many unforgettable moments so far, but we believe this is just the beginning. We’ll continue to give back the love and support through even better music.”
To celebrate the occasion, aespa performed the English version of their song “Whiplash” on stage, delivering a standout moment at the awards.
