The passing of Kim Sae Ron came as a shock to many fans of the beloved actress. Found dead in her home on February 16th of this year, fans mourned the singer and wanted to pay respects to her properly. However, the issue and scandals entangled with Kim Soo Hyun have caused endless pain, speculation and distress for the bereaved and Kim Sae Ron’s memory.

Before her death, Kim Sae Ron was revealed to be filming a movie called Guitar Man, directed by Lee Sun Jung Band leader Lee Sun Jung himself. Known for songs like “Pit-a-pat (Dugundeugun)“, “White Wedding”, and “I Can Fly,” Lee Sun Jung composed an entirely new album just for the film and hired Kim Sae Ron to be the lead female and love interest for the tragic story of a musical genius and his affinity for rock and roll.

The movie Guitar Man is about the joy, anger, and sorrows of the fictional band Volcano’s leader. Lee Sun Jung also acts in the film and visually portrays the internal struggles and unfortunate life of growing up as a talented guitarist in Korea, where rock music seems to be void and goes unnoticed. The story describes the pains of a marginalized class who live in the shadows of Korean pop music and feel neglected, which is a common reality for various artists that all creatives can relate to. The movie and album are set to release later this year.
