BLACKPINK’s Lisa made history as the first K-pop artist to perform at the Academy Awards.

On March 2nd, Lisa took the stage at the 97th Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, participating in a tribute performance to the 007 film series. Following a montage celebrating the Bond franchise, Lisa appeared after actress Margaret Qualley from the film Substance, wearing a long black dress.

Lisa performed “Live and Let Die,” the theme song from the 007 film of the same name. She also showcased choreography with male dancers.

This marks the first time a K-pop artist has performed at the Academy Awards ceremony.

After Lisa, rapper Doja Cat and British singer-songwriter Raye, who collaborated with Lisa on her new song “Born Again,” took the stage. Although it was initially reported they would perform their collaboration, they instead continued the Bond tribute by performing additional 007 theme songs.

Rowoon also made an appearance on the red carpet. He made a stylish impression in a sparkling striped jacket, showing off his playful charm. His agency, FNC Entertainment, stated, “He received an invitation from the Academy.”

Meanwhile, Rowoon is set to appear in the Disney Plus original series The Murky Stream scheduled for release in September.
