STUDIO X+U’s new series Friendly Rivalry has rocketed to success, dominating viewership metrics on its February 10th debut.

The thriller series claimed the top spot in viewing numbers among all U+mobile TV and U+TV original dramas within its first 24 hours of release. The show has set platform records across key performance indicators, including total viewership and new viewer acquisition.

Friendly Rivalry follows the story of a transfer student named Seulgi at Chaehwa Girls’ High School, an elite institution for Korea’s top 1%. The series weaves together themes of teenage ambition with a mysterious thriller subplot involving the suspicious death of a college entrance exam writer.

The show had already generated significant buzz prior to its release through its promotional materials, which showcased distinctive characters and a uniquely frank portrayal of ambition. Following successful press and fan preview events, which premiered the first four episodes, anticipation reached a fever pitch.
