BTS’s Jin surprised fans by showing off his unexpected strength during the recent episode of Run Jin where he defeated the sturdy Yoo Min Sang in an arm-wrestling match.
The official BTS channel released a “K-Mukbang” video on Tuesday as part of the Run Jin series. Right from the start, Jin had everyone laughing as he jokingly called out, “Run, Bangtan,” instead of his name, expressing how much he misses his bandmates.
Jin visited the JDB Entertainment headquarters, where he was warmly welcomed by Yoo Min Sang, Kim Min Kyung, and Hong Yoon Hwa—popular figures in the Korean mukbang world. Jin praised the trio, saying, “I watched your videos so much while I was in the military. You’re everywhere!” Clearly charmed, Kim Min Kyung and Hong Yoon Hwa replied, “We can only see your face.” Hong Yoon Hwa, a proud ARMY, couldn’t hide her excitement meeting him in person.
In a playful exchange, Jin jokingly said, “If I win the mukbang competition, you’ll have to take down your sign.” Hong Yoon Hwa eagerly agreed, saying, “I’ll do it!”
The competitive spirit kicked in as Yoo Min Sang, ready for some fun rivalry, remarked, “I feel a bit competitive. Can’t I think that way as a fellow man?” Jin, quick with his wit, teased, “So you don’t like BTS? You hate us?” His playful jab had everyone cracking up.
Jin added, “I feel like I know you since I see you on TV all the time,” instantly making the group feel at ease.
The highlight of the day was an arm-wrestling match between Jin and Yoo Min Sang. With Hong Yoon Hwa and Kim Min Kyung hilariously biased in their commentary, Jin exclaimed, “It’s been so long since I’ve been treated this special during a shoot. I’m loving it!”
Despite the odds, Jin came out on top, surprising everyone with his impressive strength. After the win, he humbly joked, “I think I might’ve played a little dirty,” keeping the atmosphere lighthearted and fun.
