Gong Hyo Jin and Lee Min Ho are set to kick off the new year with the premiere of When the Stars Gossip in January 2025.
According to an exclusive report from IZE on October 31st, the highly anticipated romantic comedy When the Stars Gossip will air as a Saturday-Sunday drama on tvN, following the conclusion of Love Your Enemy this December.
The series is a space-themed romantic comedy, written by Seo Sook Hyang, known for her work on Pasta and Jealousy Incarnate. It will be directed by Park Shin Woo, who previously helmed It’s Okay to Not Be Okay and Jealousy Incarnate.
Gong Hyo Jin will play Captain Eve Kim, a top-tier astronaut and perfectionist who does not tolerate even the smallest mistake. Lee Min Ho stars as Gong Ryong, an obstetrician who joins the space expedition as a tourist, having paid an astronomical amount for the adventure. The pairing of Gong Hyo Jin and Lee Min Ho alone has already generated excitement among viewers.
When the Stars Gossip will be the first Saturday-Sunday drama for tvN in 2025, coming off a successful year with series like Queen of Tears, Love Next Door, and Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born. Expectations are high for this space-based rom-com to continue tvN’s hit streak.
Fans are also eager to see both actors return to the small screen. Gong Hyo Jin will make her TV drama comeback six years after When the Camellia Blooms aired on KBS in 2019. Lee Min Ho will also return to television five years after the 2020 drama The King: Eternal Monarch.
When the Stars Gossip is tentatively set to premiere on January 4th, 2025, though tvN is still finalizing the date.
