Controversy continues to swirl around BLACKPINK’s Lisa, with lip-sync accusations and relationship rumors taking center stage.
On September 29th (KST), Lisa took the stage as a solo artist at the massive charity event Global Citizen Festival in New York. Her performance included hits like “Lalisa,” “Money,” “Rockstar,” and an unreleased track, “Moonlit Floor.”
While Lisa’s performance highlighted her solo artistry, it received criticism for her vocals. Many fans criticized her for relying heavily on pre-recorded tracks, accusing her of lip-syncing through most of the set. Comments such as “Why lip-sync when there’s no choreography?” and “Her lips weren’t even synced with the lyrics” circulated online, with some calling the performance “disappointing.”
Using such a big stage to lipsync your „new“ song which is a literally a bad cover of an iconic song is certainly a choice https://t.co/5WHF7GdJqL

Adding fuel to the fire, Lisa performed lyrics that seemed to allude to French billionaire Frédéric Arnault, indirectly confirming their rumored relationship that first surfaced in July last year. Arnault, the third son of LVMH Chairman Bernard Arnault and CEO of a luxury watch brand, has been rumored to be dating Lisa for some time. The two have reportedly been spotted together on dates in Paris, Los Angeles, and Bangkok, though neither party has officially addressed the speculation.
Amid the buzz, Lisa also debuted her unreleased track “Moonlit Floor,” which samples Sixpence None The Richer’s “Kiss Me.” The song is set to be released on October 4th.
