Hwang Jung Eum has faced the divorce issue head-on.
A video titled “Hwang Jung Eum, Yoon Tae Young EP.36 The Most Dangerous Drinking Party Ever” was posted on Shin Dong Yup‘s YouTube channel yesterday.
Back on February 2nd, Hwang Jung Eum announced that she was in the process of filing for divorce from professional golfer and businessman Lee Young Don. After the divorce news was announced, Hwang Jung Eum participated in filming the show. Yoon Tae Young recalled the time of the Reborn of the Seven: War For Survival poster shoot and said, “I went to the filming set and she said, ‘Hey, I’m getting a divorce.’ So I said, ‘Is it April Fool’s Day today?'”
In response, Hwang Jung Eum said, “I tried to get a divorce years ago. My ex-husband would always tell me to leave when he was at his house. He would say, ‘Leave! It’s my house.’ So we fought, and I took out a loan to buy a house in Itaewon. And my ex-husband doesn’t know I bought the house. We reconciled, and I just couldn’t bear the thought of another fight for the sake of the kids. I tried to make it work, but this time…”, she said, choking up and unable to continue.
In particular, Yoon Tae Young and Shin Dong Yup talked about golf, and Hwang Jung Eum, who was listening, said, “I hate golf the most,” referring to her ex-husband, who is a professional golfer and businessman.
Hwang Jung Eum, who said that she received a lot of support from people after announcing her divorce, said, “I knew I was done with my ex-husband way back in 2020. But lately, with all the support I’ve gotten from everyone around me, it’s made me realize just how much I take for granted and feel so incredibly grateful again for everything I have in my life.”
