Director Yeon Sang Ho humorously recalled a moment when he gave critical feedback on actress Jun Ji Hyun’s zombie acting.

On May 6th, a new video was uploaded to the YouTube channel “fullmoon”.

The video featured Yeon Sang Ho alongside the lead cast of the upcoming Korean film Colony, including Jun Ji Hyun, Koo Kyo Hwan, Ji Chang Wook, Shin Hyun Been, and Kim Shin Rok, as they shared behind-the-scenes stories from filming.

The director began by saying, “Train to Busan was practically my first zombie film, so the stunt team felt a bit awkward doing zombie movements at first.” He continued, “They were used to performing cool action scenes, so when they were suddenly told to act like zombies, they seemed shy and hesitant. But now, it’s become a competition over who can do it better.”

He then revealed, “Even Jun Ji Hyun showed us her zombie moves,” surprising everyone on set.

Jun Ji Hyun recalled, “Since the director is known for zombie films, I tried doing a bit of zombie acting.” She added, “But he wasn’t really looking at me and was focused on the monitor. Then he suddenly glanced over and reacted like he had discovered some raw talent.”

The director jokingly responded, “Doesn’t Jun Ji Hyun’s leg length make her stand out? When those long legs bent, she looked a bit like a water strider,” making everyone burst into laughter.

Meanwhile, Colony tells the story of survivors trapped inside a building quarantined due to an unknown infectious outbreak, as they struggle against infected individuals evolving in unpredictable ways.

The Colony cast’s episode on “fullmoon” will be released on May 8th at 6 PM.
