Disney Plus original series Blood Free has unveiled an intense teaser poster ahead of its April 10th release, promising to deliver a fresh shock to global subscribers.
Set in 2025, Blood Free is a suspenseful thriller drama that follows the story of the CEO of a bioengineering company who revolutionized the food industry with lab-grown meat, and a former military officer-turned-bodyguard who mysteriously enters her life. As their paths intertwine, they become entangled in a web of secrets and danger, chasing the truth behind a series of unsettling events. The drama is penned by Strangers writer Lee Soo Yeon.
The new teaser poster asks, “Ready for lab-grown meat?” with a close-up of the process and the logo of BF (Blood Free), the global bioengineering company behind it all.
Ju Ji Hoon takes on the role of Woo Chae Woon, a retired military officer who is chasing after the truth behind a terrorist incident, while Han Hyo Joo leads the drama as Yoon Ja Yu, the CEO of the giant bioengineering company BF Group. Lee Hee Joon, who has appeared in dramas such as A Killer Paradox and Badland Hunters, plays the role of Prime Minister Sunwoo Jae, who wants to take control of the BF Group.
The supporting cast is also impressive. Lee Moo Saeng of Maestro plays On San, Yoon Ja Yu’s 20-year friend and the co-founder of the BF Group. Kim Sang Ho plays Kim Shin Gu, a bioengineering doctor who developed the core technology of artificial cultured meat, while Jeon Seok Ho of Moving plays Seo Hee, an IT expert at the BF group. Park Ji Yeon of Strangers plays Jung Hae Deun, the planning director of the group.
