In a candid conversation with ELLE Korea magazine, Na In Woo, fresh from the finale of the tvN drama Marry My Husband, shared candid stories, all while dazzling the crew with a photo shoot that oscillated between powerful intensity and charming tenderness.

Reflecting on the connection between himself and his character Yu Ji Hyuk in his latest hit, Na In Woo stated, “There’s one thing we have in common: once we’re into something, we see it through to the end. I’ve never given up, no matter how hard or hopeless things seemed.”

He elaborated on his approach to embodying Yu Ji Hyuk, saying, “I tried to persuade with my gaze. The face he’d make, trying to listen to what Jin Won is saying even if he can’t make sense of it. It was about showing the love and responsibility I felt for her. I wanted to separate all the narratives and emotions and express them all differently.”

On tackling roles in the adaptations with original works, Na In Woo offered a glimpse into his creative process. “I don’t read the original,” he confessed. “Some actors may express themselves better if they see the original work, but that’s the case for me. So I approach each role as if it’s a brand new character.”

Beyond the screen, Na In Woo shared his affinity for animation and music, revealing, “I love animations like ‘Finding Nemo,’ ‘Monsters, Inc.,’ and ‘Toy Story’.” He also expressed a preference for metal rock, specifically noting, “I really like Slipknot’s ‘Duality.’ I’m planning to upload a cover video on Instagram by mid-February.”
