As the world of entertainment eagerly anticipates the premiere of tvN’s Apartment 404 Not Found on February 23rd, BLACKPINK’s Jennie has opened up about her return to variety TV. Apartment 404 Not Found is a genre-defying mystery show, featuring six residents, including Yoo Jae Suk, Cha Tae Hyun, Oh Na Ra, Yang Se Chan, Jennie, and Lee Jung Ha, who delve into the astonishing events occurring in the familiar setting of an apartment complex.
Jennie’s return to a variety show, years after her remarkable performance in Village Survival, the Eight, has already generated a buzz of excitement.
The singer shared her motivation for joining the show: “I’ve always been a fan of mystery genres. The opportunity to work with a cast and production team that I truly admire was a major reason for my participation. It’s been a while since I’ve been on a variety show, and I thought it would be a wonderful gift for my fans.”
Particularly noteworthy is Jennie’s reunion with Yoo Jae Suk and the Village Survival, the Eight crew. “I had such fun filming back then, and I’ve missed it a lot. I was really nervous, but they took good care of me, which made the shooting so much fun,” she reflected. She also mentioned the camaraderie on set, saying, “The other members made me feel comfortable from the first day of shooting, and working together to solve cases really helped us bond quickly.”
Jennie’s delightful charm in the teaser has already become a talking point. She remarked, “I’m a fan of mystery stories, and ‘Apartment 404 Not Found,’ being based on real events, gives me the feeling of being actually involved in the incidents. I found myself fully immersed in the moment, forgetting that we were filming.”
She concluded, emphasizing the unique viewing experience awaiting the audience, “Each of our members has distinct personalities, so it should be fun to see how we solve cases and unravel mysteries.”
