The KBS Monday-Tuesday drama The Matchmakers witnessed a slight drop in viewership, according to Nielsen Korea.

The second episode aired on the 1st, recorded a 3.6% national rating, a 0.9% drop compared to the 4.5% from its premiere episode.

In this episode, the focus was on the three daughters of Maeng—Maeng Sam Sun (Jung Bo Min), Maeng Ha Na (Jung Shin Hye), and Maeng Du Ri (Park Ji Won), known as the “old maid sisters.” Shim Jeong Woo (Rowoon) has been given the ominous task of marrying off the trio within two months. So he proposes to mediate a match for them through Jeong Soon Deok (Cho Yi Hyun), who initially refuses but intriguingly accepts his offer by the end of the episode.

Fans have been pouring out high praise, exclaiming, “The story is so exciting, can’t take my eyes off this cheeky drama!” “I love that Jeong Woo and Soon Deok keep getting closer.” “Rowoon and Cho Yi Hyun are exploding with chemistry! It’s heart-throbbing, cute, and fun!” “It keeps getting better. Going to re-watch right away!” and “Can’t wait for the next episode!”

Meanwhile, The Matchmakers is a rom-com set in the Joseon era, revolving around a struggling matchmaker who attempts to pair up singles in an elaborate “marriage operation.” The show airs every Monday and Tuesday at 9:45 PM KST.
