When news broke that Lisa would be on the Crazy Horse stage, fans could not hide their apprehensions. Although Crazy Horse is branded as an artistic cabaret focusing on women and art, its shows often verge on striptease. The criteria for dancers at the Crazy Horse, set by founder Alain Bernardin, only intensified these concerns. Not only height but even specific anatomical measurements for certain body parts have been outlined, making fans even more worried about Lisa’s involvement.

Fueling the fire, Lisa posted a rehearsal video on her Instagram. Under sultry blue lighting, her silhouette was all that was visible, revealing a rather provocative choreography. Many left comments like, “You won’t be performing nude, right?” and “If this is your choice, it’s truly disappointing.”
The core argument among critics is that despite its artistic wrapper, Crazy Horse essentially offers a glorified striptease. Even the show’s name, a pun on the term “whores,” came under scrutiny, prompting comments like “Isn’t this just sexualizing women?”
Some also worry about the potentially harmful impact this could have on Lisa’s younger audience. Among the myriad of comments on Lisa’s Instagram, an international fan expressed, “I’m scared my young daughter might see Lisa’s performance.”
Now, with BLACKPINK’s contract renewal with YG being the hottest topic in the K-po industry, Lisa’s choices are under the public microscope. Had she considered the potential ramifications, perhaps the disappointment could have been averted. If her desire was to break away from her adorable, hip image to something more risqué, it seems her chosen path is leaving much to be desired.
