Song Joong Ki‘s new film Hopeless has confirmed its release date and unveiled a brand new teaser poster.
Hopeless is a film noir about a young man named Yeon Gyu (played by Hong Xa Bin) who wishes to escape his hellish reality. When he meets Chi Geon (Song Joong Ki), who is in charge of middle management for a criminal organization, the two embark on a dangerous journey together. The upcoming film is building up anticipation with invitations to screen at two prestigious film festivals under the Notable Gaze section of the 76th Cannes International Film Festival and the Korean Cinema Today – Special Premiere section at the 28th Busan International Film Festival.
The new poster immediately grabs attention with Yeon Gyu and Chi Geon in vibrant red, and the caption, “We’ll do it if we have to,” adds to the intrigue about their fate.
Hopeless is set to hit theaters on October 11th.
