Lee Jong Won is in talks to share the screen with Shin Min Ah in the upcoming tvN series Because I Want No Loss (literal title).

Slated for release in the second half of next year, Because I Want No Loss is a new rom-com that spins the tale of a woman who, in her reluctance to lose, decides to partake in a sham marriage, and a man who becomes her fake husband to avoid causing any harm. The drama is penned by Her Private Life screenwriter Kim Hye Young, with production by Bon Factory.

If Lee Jong Won does join the show, he’ll play Kim Ji Wook, a night-shift convenience store part-timer revered as a local hero and a civilian police officer. Ji Wook is a warm-hearted individual who can’t turn away from people in need and is noted for his unwavering sincerity. His life takes a turn when he meets his worst regular customer, Son Hae Young (Shin Min Ah), who gives him a suspicious “proposal.”

Lee Jong Won is no stranger to the spotlight, having made his mark in recent dramas such as The School Nurse Files and Hospital Playlist 2. Last year, he bagged the Best New Actor award at the MBC Drama Awards for his role in the drama The Golden Spoon.

Currently, Lee Jong Won is wrapping up the filming of MBC’s new drama Flower That Blooms at Night (literal title) alongside Lee Ha Nee. His move to Because I Want No Loss solidifies his rising status, matching strides with A-list actresses from Lee Ha Nee to Shin Min Ah.
