Will Shin Min Ah return with another rom-com?
Starnews reported on the 26th that Shin Min Ah was cast in the lead female role for the new drama Don’t Want to Lose (literal title). AM Entertainment responded, “She is positively considering the project.”
Don’t Want to Lose is a new rom-com that spins the tale of a woman who, in her reluctance to lose, decides to partake in a sham marriage, and a man who becomes her husband to avoid causing any harm. The drama is penned by Her Private Life screenwriter Kim Hye Young and is aimed for a 2024 release.
Shin Min Ah has been offered the role of So Hae Young, who doesn’t want to suffer any more losses. Son Hae Young hasn’t received proper love from her mother, her ex-boyfriend has gotten married to the woman he cheated on her with, and she is unable to enjoy employee benefits at work due to her unmarried status. She constantly faces significant losses not only within her family but also in her career and relationships.
If Shin confirms her participation, it will mark her return to the small screen after a year’s hiatus since tvN’s Our Blues.
