Woo Do Hwan, Lee Yoo Mi, Oh Jung Se and Kim Hae Sook will star in new Netflix series Mr. Plankton.
The upcoming drama revolves around a man named Hae Jo, who was mistakenly born into the world. His life takes a dramatic turn as he encounters Jae Mi, the unhappiest woman in the world.
Woo Do Hwan portrays Hae Jo, a man who has been unwanted his whole life and is in constant search of his true family. Without knowledge of his father’s identity, he has never experienced a sense of belonging. One day, he receives life-changing news and decides to embark on a journey to find his biological father.
Lee Yoo Mi plays the role of Jo Jae Mi, the unluckiest bride-to-be in the world. She has always yearned for marriage, and her wish is about to come true with her upcoming wedding to Eoh Heung. However, unexpectedly, she joins Hae Jo on his trip just before her wedding day.
Oh Jung Se stars as Eoh Heung, the only son in a prestigious family with connections to many famous historical figures. Despite going against his family’s wishes, he impregnates Jae Mi before their marriage. However, on the very day of the wedding, his wife-to-be mysteriously disappears with Hae Jo, prompting him to embark on a pursuit.
Kim Hae Sook stars as Beom Ho Ja, Eoh Heung’s mother. She married the head of the family at 17 and has faced numerous challenges throughout her life. Currently, she manages the Eoh family’s food business. Ho Ja becomes furious upon discovering their fleet and does everything in her power to find them.
It’s Okay to Not Be Okay writer Jo Yong penned the script, and Juvenile Justice director Hong Jong Chan helmed the series.
