The May 29th episode of tvN’s Free Doctor offered a rare glimpse into the lavish homes of Korea’s top celebrities.
The program first revealed the marital residence of Namkoong Min and Jin Ah Reum. After seven years of dating, the couple got married last year and moved into S Apartment, located in Seoul. The property, which Namkoong Min purchased for $1.2 million in 2017, is now valued at around $2.6 million. Despite earning $171,000 per TV episode, Namkoong Min delayed buying his own home to prioritize setting up homes for his parents and younger brother.
The actor remodeled his apartment from a warm brown tone to a refreshing white tone for his wife. This property is expected to appreciate by at least $854,000 due to the redevelopment at the north end of Gangbyeonbuk-ro.
The show also unveiled the lavish home of Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, located in Arch Hill Village, Guri City, Gyeonggi Province. The high-end villa, bought by Hyun Bin in 2021 for about $4.1 million in cash, boasts a luxury hotel-like ambiance with an elegant lobby and various amenities.
Furthermore, the house is replete with an open-style dressing room, a bathroom that rivals any five-star hotel, a kitchen equipped with top-notch appliances, a main room, three additional rooms, and bathrooms. A distinct feature of the house is a private rooftop garden perched atop the terrace stairs.
Lastly, the episode spotlighted the home of Hwang Jaegyun and Jiyeon. Their extravagant residence is in L Residence, the tallest residential building in Korea, located in Songpa-gu, Seoul. Hwang Jaegyun purchased this property at the end of 2021 for $5.7 million. The parking lot is filled with supercars, evoking the spectacle of a motor show. Residential units begin from the 42nd floor, and even delivered food is served by a bellman, much like room service in a hotel.
The couple’s home consists of three bedrooms and bathrooms. World-renowned architects participated in the interior design, incorporating European hardwood flooring, tiles, and cypress bathtubs. The maintenance fee alone stands at $795, and can even surge up to about $3,400.
Meanwhile, Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In’s luxury house was edited out as the production team has already stated.
