B.A.P’s Him Chan, who was sentenced to ten months in prison in the second trial for sexual assault, has admitted to all of his charges in the appeals trial where he faced another sexual assault accusation.
The first trial was held at the Seoul Western District Court on April 3rd, during which his legal representative responded, “He acknowledges all his charges” to the judge’s question about his position.
Initially, Him Chan’s lawyer denied the allegations during the police investigation by claiming that physical contact was inevitable in a cramped space. However, they reversed their statements at the trial, stating that they were “trying to reach a settlement,” which the victim’s representative also accepted.
On April 17th of last year, Him Chan’s case proceeded to trial after he was charged with inappropriately grabbing a woman’s shoulders at a bar. He was also sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s at a pension in July 2018. The case is currently pending appeal.
Meanwhile, B.A.P, which was formed in 2012, disbanded in August 2018 when two members left the group, and the remaining members’ contracts with the agency were terminated the following year.
