Taeyang is gearing up for his return to the K-pop scene in April.
The Black Label confirmed on the 28th, “Taeyang is preparing to release a new album in April,” but added, “No details of his comeback have been decided yet.”
Last December, Taeyang left YG Entertainment, where he had been with since his debut, and joined The Black Label, which is headed by producer Teddy. He then released a digital single VIBE (Feat. Jimin of BTS) in January, signaling his return as a solo artist.
“VIBE” is Taeyang’s first new song in five years since his third full album WHITE NIGHT, which was released before he entered the military. His comeback has been met with a positive response, topping charts both domestically and internationally and even surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify.
