Lee Bo Young revealed why she recommended Son Naeun for Agency in an interview following the series’ wrap.
She said, “I just thought she would fit the role well as she looks like a very trendy influencer. As you can see, she is pretty enough to make you look. I thought she perfectly matched the image of character Han Na Ra who pulls off any clothes. So I recommended her to the director. Dozens of candidates auditioned afterwards, and Naeun got cast in the end.”
Many wondered whether Lee Bo Young was already close with Naeun even before working together on the drama. The actress answered, “No, we were absolutely not close at all. I previously asked an acquaintance who would best fit the role in our drama among the actresses in their 20s, and they suggested Son Naeun. Afterwards, I went through some of her pictures and thought, ‘she would be a good fit.’ That’s how I got to recommend her during the meeting with the director.”
Lee Bo Young added, “All I did was recommend her. It was all up to her to get the role next. She auditioned and got the role, so she deserves the credit.”
