The Glory star Kim Hieora posed for the new Allure Korea pictorial with the message “Here I Am.” With a pixie cut and her emotionless face, she exuded her unique epicene beauty.
In the interview that was conducted alongside the photoshoot, she talked about how she got the role of the drug addict Lee Sara in the Netflix juggernaut The Glory. “I didn’t know much about the role during the audition, but I just did my best,” she recalled. “When they called me the second time, I showed them the paintings I drew as a hobby. I walked out of the room after that, then I got the scripts in a package later that day. I was so happy that I cried my eyes out.”
Kim Hieora then talked about how she was encouraged by Director Ahn Gil Ho and Writer Kim Eun Sook. “After I was cast, Writer Kim told me, ‘You have the eyes of Sara that I imagined.’ And the director showed trust in me and said, ‘Just do what you can do and want to do,’ and that answered lots of unanswered questions in my head,” she said. “And thanks to that, I became Sara without any embellishments. I think I am a lucky actor.”
Lastly, she commented, “I want to try the historical genre and very traditional Korean characters. I’d like to enjoy the ‘me’ now. There are lots of things I can do because I’m playing the support roles, and I want to do them. I’d love to see you for a long time through good projects.”
Meanwhile, part 2 of The Glory will be released on March 10th.
