OMEGA X members won their lawsuit against their agency Spire Entertainment to suspended the validity of their exclusive contract. The group can now continue their activities without any interference of their agency.
The group announced their decision to file a lawsuit to terminate their contract with Spire Entertainment at the press conference in November of last year. They claimed that CEO Kang verbally, physically and sexually abused them by forcing them to drink and perform while being diagnosed with COVID-19.
The verdict said, “Maintaining the current contractual relationship between OMEGA X and their label would be difficult due to the broken trust between the two parties. All provisional injunctions will be granted to avoid the group’s independent activities from being restricted in the future due to the contract remaining in effect.”
The court found it difficult to see that the physical and verbal abuse was accidental, as they claimed that former CEO Kang violated the personal rights of the members by threatening them of suspending their activities and canceling their return flights after the US concert.
