Korean dramas on Netflix didn’t exactly live up to their hype in 2022. Although some series, such as All of Us Are Dead and Juvenile Justice, received some excellent reviews, many of them, including Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area, majorly flopped despite their all-star cast. Will there be a rebound from last year’s slump? Numerous shows, including D.P., Sweet Home and The Glory, are coming back with new seasons this year. So without further ado, let’s take a look at 16 new Netflix drama series that are currently under production.
Love to Hate You (2/10)

Starring: Kim Ok Bin, Yoo Teo, Kim Ji Hoon, Go Won Hee
Synopsis: Love to Hate You is a romantic comedy that follows the dynamic love story between a woman who hates to lose to a man and a man who doesn’t trust women.
Hunting Dogs (Releasing in the second quarter of 2023)

Synopsis: QUEENMAKER tells a story about a woman named Hwang Do Hee, an expert in the consulting field who hopes to make a labor rights lawyer named Hwang Do Hee the next Mayor of Seoul.
Black Knight (Releasing in the second quarter of 2023)

Starring: Kim Woo Bin, Esom, Song Seung Heon, Kang Yoo Seok
Synopsis: Black Knight is set in the year 2071, where humans are unable to survive on a polluted Earth without the help of oxygen masks. For procuring daily supplies, people turn to Knights, a group of specialized delivery drivers. The story follows a delivery man who goes by “5-8” and a refugee named Sa Wol, who aspires to join the ranks of the delivery workers.
A Time Called You (Releasing in the third quarter of 2023)

Starring: Ahn Hyo Seop, Jeon Yeo Bin, Kang Hoon
Synopsis: A Time Called You is a Korean remake of the hit Taiwanese drama series Someday or One Day, and it tells the story of a girl named Jun Hee who misses her boyfriend who passed away one year ago. One day, she travels back in time to 1998 and meets Si Heon who looks just like her late boyfriend.
Song of the Bandits (Releasing in the third quarter of 2023)

Starring: Kim Nam Gil, Seohyun, Yoo Chae Myung, Lee Hyun Wook, Lee Ho Jung
Synopsis: Song of the Bandits is a period action drama that revolves around those who gather in Gando for their own reasons and band together to protect their homes during the Japanese colonial era.
Mask Girl (Releasing in the third quarter of 2023)

Synopsis: Mask Girl tells a story about an ordinary businesswoman named Kim Mo Mi, who is insecure about her appearance. She gets involved in a shocking case while working as a video streamer with her face covered with a mask.

Synopsis: Daily Dose of Sunshine is a story about a rookie nurse named Da Eun, who starts working at a psychiatric hospital, and the people she comes across there.

Synopsis: The Bequeathed revolves around a woman who inherits land upon the death of her uncle and finds herself mired in a series of tragic events that unravel her family’s deep secrets.
Chicken Nugget (TBA)

Starring: Ryu Seung Yong, Ahn Jae Hong, Kim Yoo Jung (making a cameo appearance)
Synopsis: Chicken Nugget is a comedy mystery series that revolves around a girl named Min Ah, who accidentally turns into a chicken nugget by using a mysterious machine. Her father and an intern who has a crush on her try to turn her back into human form, only to discover some dark secrets along the way.
Murder DIEary (TBA)

Starring: Choi Woo Sik, Son Suk Ku, Lee Hee Jun
Synopsis: Murder DIEary tells the story of a detective who chases after an ordinary man who accidentally becomes a serial killer.
