On November 4th, media outlets reported that Kim Sae Ron and Lee Sang Yi were cast in Bloodhound to play the lead roles. To which, both actors’ agencies responded that they are reviewing the casting offers.
Bloodhound is based on a popular webtoon of the same name. It’s an action noir about three men who get entangled because of debt but attempt to escape it in any way they can. Previously, Park Sung Woong has officially joined the project, while Woo Do Hwan is still reviewing the offer to take the lead.
Kim Sae Ron debuted as a child actor but has since grown up to be a solid actress, appearing in works like The Queen’s Classroom and Mirror of the Witch. Recently, she played the female lead in the fantasy exorcism drama The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim, leaving a deep impression. Additionally, Lee Sang Yi made back-to-back hits this year with two dramas, Youth of May and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.
Meanwhile, Bloodhound will be produced as an 8-part series with Midnight Runners and The Divine Fury director Kim Joo Hwan as the director and the writer.
