TVING original series Island released its exciting first teaser trailer.
Island is based on the popular webtoon of the same name by Yoon In Wan and Yang Kyung Il. The upcoming fantasy drama depicts the journey of those who are fated to fight against evil to protect the world.
The trailer shares a sneak peek of the three main characters confronting evil forces that threaten the peace of the world. Set on the mysterious Jeju island, the video shows Kim Nam Gil as immortal monster hunter Pan, Lee Da Hee as Mi Ho with powerful spiritual powers and Cha Eun Woo as young exorcist priest John.
The video starts with Kim Nam Gil looking determined in a black suit as he confronts demons in a mysterious place. As the background music adds to the tension, he ends up slaying the monster he was chasing with his mystical weapon.
The scene quickly changes to Lee Da Hee aiming her gun at someone and creating a strong wind. The contradicting images of her being horror-struck and her transformation into a chaebol heiress named Won Mi Ho hints at the twist in the upcoming series.
Cha Eun Woo then makes his appearance as exorcist John in a priest’s robe. With a determined look on his face, he is spotted fighting against evil spirits with his divine mage.
Island will be released on TVING and Amazon Prime Video in December.
