TVING’s new series Island dropped a teaser poster, announcing the beginning of a grand journey to begin soon.
Based on the popular comics/webtoon of the same name, Island follows the journey of characters who have the destiny to fight against the evil that is trying to destroy the world.
At the center of Island is Kim Nam Gil, who has protected the world from evil for thousands of years. The actor steps into the role of Ban, an immortal being who is a human but at the same time not. Lee Da Hee joins the cast as Won Mi Ho, a woman from a rich family who works as a teacher. Unaware of her fate, she’s sent to Jeju Island to reflect on her wrongdoings. But there, she’s attacked by monsters for the first time in her life and has a fateful meeting with Ban.
Cha Eun Woo turns into John, a young exorcist and a priest with the power given by the god. Having been dispatched to Jeju Island under the Pope’s order, he’ll present a story packed with fantasy action that you’ve never seen before with Ban and Mi Ho.
The released teaser poster shows the “Geumgangjeo” aiming at the center of Island. In the mysterious and gloomy atmosphere, dark clouds are seen behind the Geumgangjeo that looks like an ancient relic.
Meanwhile, Island will be released in December and will also be available through Amazon Prime Video.
