Jinyoung is coming back with an action-thriller this winter.
Based on the novel of the same name, Christmas Carol depicts the cruel battle of a boy who enters the juvenile detention center on purpose to carry out revenge after the death of his twin brother. The movie stars GOT7’s Jinyoung, Kim Young Min, Kim Dong Hwi, and more, and Running Wild and Save Me director Kim Sung Soo was tapped as the helmer. On the 25th, Christmas Carol confirmed its release in December.
The Devil Judge and Yumi’s Cells star Jinyoung plays a dual role, Il Woo and Wol Woo. The older one of the twins, Il Woo, walks into the juvenile detention center to avenge the death of Wol Woo, his younger brother who was found dead on the morning of Christmas. The actor flawlessly created two brothers with opposite characters and pulled off intense action scenes as Il Woo, showcasing a shocking transformation.
Joining this rising star in the cast are The World of the Married actor Kim Young Min, In Our Prime actor Kim Dong Hwi, Song Gun Hee, Heo Dong Won, and more.
The teaser poster released along with the news of its release captures the moment Il Woo vows to avenge his twin brother. On Christmas morning, when everyone should be blissfully happy, his brother Wol Woo is found dead, and instead of the police that just concluded the case as an accident, he swears to get his own revenge. On top of everything, the copy that reads “I decided to become a monster” gives a glimpse into the life-risking, bloody revenge Il Woo will unfold within the detention center.
