Drama Ranking for the 1st Week of October
Little Women ended its journey, taking first place for the third week. The tvN drama ended with the death of Won Sang Ah (Uhm Ji Won) and the three sisters finding their own happiness, receiving praises for its perfect ending, but at the same time, many showed disappointment over the open ending for Oh In Ju (Kim Go Eun) and Choi Do Il’s (Wi Ha Jun) relationship. As if to prove the drama’s popularity, many of the cast ranked in the cast ranking. SBS’s One Dollar Lawyer landed at No. 2. Lawyer Chun Ji Hoon (Namkoong Min) uncovered the truth of Painter Kim and his wife’s murderer while the story from his past was revealed, leading to a rise in interest. MBC’s The Golden Spoon came in third. Though it got seconded to One Dollar Lawyer in terms of viewership, it managed to secure core fans thanks to the actors’ solid performance. SBS’s Cheer Up debuted at No. 4. Considering the nature of the youth drama with a narrow audience pool, its ratings are around 2%. KBS’s Bad Prosecutor started off in fifth place. Responses are favorable to Do Kyung Soo, who’s turned into a rogue prosecutor, but Lee Se Hee’s performance has been pointed out several times. Romance dramas tvN’s Love in Contract and KBS’s The Law Cafe dropped to No. 6 and No. 8. Though it seems like the drama wasn’t greatly affected by Park Min Young’s dating rumors, there are constant criticisms that she keeps playing similar roles since What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.
