Alienoid has hit the big screen with a bang.
Alienoid Part One follows a group of Taoists from the Goryeo dynasty who mistakenly open a time portal in search of a legendary sword. The portal connects them to humans from 2022, who are tasked with finding an extraterrestrial prisoner locked in a human body.
Marking the release of this highly-anticipated movie, magazine 1st Look unveiled the pictorial of Director Choi Dong Hoon and leading actors of Alienoid – Ryu Jun Yeol, Kim Tae Ri, Kim Woo Bin, So Ji Sub, Jo Woo Jin, and Kim Eui Sung.
Alienoid Part One, which was released today, has sold 130,870 pre-sold tickets (tickets sold before the release of the movie), heralding a major box office hit. In particular, this number is much higher than Veteran (86,377), which attracted 13.41 million moviegoers in 2015, and Extreme Job (103,107), the second most viewed film in Korean cinema.
