Kim Da Mi will be starring in an upcoming movie called The Great Flood (literal title) produced by The Terror Live director Kim Byung Woo.
The movie tells a story about people getting stuck in an endless loop of a catastrophe, starring Kim Da Mi as its lead role.
The upcoming movie is currently in talks with Netflix for a direct release. As Kim Da Mi’s dramas, Itaewon Class and Our Beloved Summer, have topped Netflix’s viewership charts in Japan, it looks like the streaming service is having a positive outlook on having her onboard on their future projects.
Insiders of the movie recently posted a job opening for its staff members by indicating that the movie has already recruited its lead actress and that it’s a Netflix movie.
One of the insiders shared, “As far as I know, we are at the very last stage of recruiting Kim Da Mi. We have faith in Kim, as she showed her incredible potential in Itaewon Class and Our Beloved Summer as a lead actress.“
Meanwhile, The Great Flood will be made by a new production company. The firm is founded by Jeon Ryeo Kyung, the co-producer of Kim Byung Woo’s film The Terror Live.
