Winners Of the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards

The 58th Baeksang Arts Awards was a feast for the OTT series.

On the 6th, the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards opened at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Ilsan. The hosts of the event were Shin Dong Yup, Suzy, and Park Bo Gum, who had been released from his military duty.

The Grand Prizes of the TV and movie categories went to Squid Game and Escape from Mogadishu director Ryu Seung Wan. Especially this year, the popularity of OTT content was reflected in the results. Besides Squid Game, Best Drama went to D.P., whose stars Cho Hyun Chul and Koo Kyo Hwan won Best Supporting Actor and Best New Actor.

Winning the Best Actor and Best Actress (TV) were 2PM’s Junho for The Red Sleeve and Kim Tae Ri for Twenty-Five Twenty-One, who also won the TikTok Popularity Award. Moreover, King Maker actor Sol Kyung Ku and In Front of Your Face actress Lee Hye Young took home the trophies for the Best Actor and Best Actress (movie).
