Reports say that it was Lee Byung Hun who helped Kim Woo Bin �receive an early cancer diagnosis.
A YouTuber named Lee Jin Ho, a former celebrity reporter, live-streamed a YouTube video on April 27th where he mentioned Kim Woo Bin in his talk as the celebrity has just returned to the small screen through tvN’s Our Blues �in good health after six years of hiatus.
According to the YouTuber, the actor had a nose bleed around May 2017. However, he did not undergo a medical check-up, simply thinking that he just needed a break from his busy schedule. However, the star went to the hospital the day after he had a drink with Lee Byung Hun, and the YouTuber shared, “I heard that Lee Byung Hun advised Kim Woo Bin to see a doctor when his nose was bleeding at dinner. Thanks to his advice, Kim Woo Bin was able to detect his cancer early.”
After Uncontrollably Fond wrapped in 2016, he took a sudden break and announced his nasopharyngeal cancer diagnosis in 2017. After about three years of treatment, he reappeared as a presenter at the 2019 Blue Dragon Film Awards and remarked, “I extend my gratitude to those who supported me and prayed for me. Thanks to them, I was able to make my return soon in great health.”
