In the latest episode of SBS’ Circle House, Han Ga In shared a personal story about her miscarriage and her decision to undergo in vitro fertilization treatments.
The star referred to herself as a ‘Kangaroo mom,’ explaining, “I am a Kangaroo mom because 95 percent of the time my life revolves around my children. That is because it took me 10 years to have a baby.” She added, “I took a pregnancy test and saw two lines on the strip, so my husband and I thought we would finally become parents. I got pregnant around January or February. But my doctor couldn’t detect my baby’s heartbeat so I experienced my first miscarriage at about eight or nine weeks into my pregnancy. It was then I decided to undergo in vitro fertilization treatments, and I had a very hard time with it. When I became finally pregnant again with my first child, I did not even go out. I just stayed at home for the entire 40 weeks. Emotionally, I did not want to lose my child again,” she recalled.
The actress stated, “I treat my children as precious treasures because I had such a hard time conceiving them.”
Psychiatrist Dr. Oh Eun Young commented, “There is a saying that children are the apples of our eyes. You would risk your life to save your children no matter what, because that’s what parents do.”
