Kakao Entertainment announced the casting of Lee Jin Wook and Lee Yeon Hee for the new Kakao TV original series ‘Marriage White Paper’ (literal title).
Marriage White Paper is a romance series that follows a couple in their 30s as they prepare for their marriage, which they believe to be the start of their happily ever after. From family meetings to preparing wedding gifts, the various episodes that all couples in Korea must have gone through at some point will create a project that anyone can relate to.
Lee Jin Wook and Lee Yeon Hee will play Seo Jun Hyung and Kim Na Eun, a couple about to get married after two years of dating.
Seo Jun Hyung, the groom-to-be, is an optimistic and romanticist who will listen to anything his girlfriend says. He had lived a smooth life – born into an affluent and harmonious family, attended a good university, and got a good job. He’s so pure and carefree that he sometimes seems immature, but with his pleasant and pure personality, he’s loved by people around him.
Kim Na Eun is a lovely bride-to-be who smiles a lot and is very good at her job. After graduating from college, she has been on a fast track since joining a major company and got herself an awesome boyfriend. In all, she’s the daughter every mother wants. She sometimes startles the people around her by getting absorbed in her own thoughts, but she’s loved for her realistic and shrewd attitude.
Lee Jin Wook shared, “I think I will be able to approach the viewers a little more intimately because I’ll visit them with realistic romance and marriage stories that anyone can relate to.” Lee Yeon Hee said, “Marriage White Paper is the story about Jun Hyung and Na Eun and everyone else. I think anyone who is getting married or is already married could easily relate.”
Meanwhile, Marriage White Paper is a 12-part series with each episode about 30 minutes long. It will be released in the first half of 2022.
