Kim Min Jung will take legal action against WIP Entertainment (WIP) over her exclusive contract.

Kim Min Jung’s legal representative stated, “The court ordered the sequestration of WIP Entertainment’s account in relation to the unpaid performance fee. We will immediately file a lawsuit regarding the unpaid performance fee and the validity of the exclusive contract for a fair judgment.”

Yesterday, the Korean Entertainment Management Association (CEMA) concluded that WIP is not responsible for the dispute between the company and Kim Min Jung. However, Kim Min Jung claims that the conclusion was merely the result of “protecting their own family” as WIP is a member of CEMA.

“The conclusion was based only on the data submitted by WIP, and they haven’t even properly investigated the data Kim Min Jung has submitted,” the attorney explained. “Even if CEMA had delivered data to Korea Federation of Popular Culture and Arts Industry, that data only comes from WIP. Hence, the conclusion has lost all fairness. This is exactly the result of ‘protecting their own family.'”
