The new KBS drama The Jinx’s Lover (literal title) will open a new horizon for the fantasy romance genre.
The Jinx’s Lover revolves around a man who has come to terms with his unlucky fate and a goddess who has jumped into the real world to break her curse. As a fantasy romance drama based on the popular webtoon of the same name, it’ll unfold the stories of those trying to overcome their cruel fate.
The show made headlines when it confirmed the casting of Love and Leashes actress Seohyun and River Where the Moon Rises actor Na In Woo.
Seohyun took on the role of Seul Bi, who has the mysterious ability to see the future of the person she touched. She, who escaped the secret room out of curiosity, starts dreaming of the world she has never experienced after spending a dream-like day with Gong Soo Kwang (Na In Woo).
Na In Woo plays Gong Soo Kwang, a fishmonger with a special jinx. He loses everything and lives a completely different life from the day he met Seul Bi (Seohyun).
Meanwhile, River Where the Moon Rises director Yoon Sang Ho joined hands with Luck-Key and Scarlet Innocence writer Jang Yoon Mi for the project. The show completed its filming at the end of December last year and will premier in the first half of 2022.
