Netflix Korea released a behind-the-scenes video of All of Us Are Dead on its official YouTube channel on February 5th. Park Ji Hu, Yoon Chan Young, Cho Yi Hyun, and Lomon (Park Solomon) sat down with the director and writer to share their stories on the show.
In the clip, the actors and crew members talked about the romantic scenes within the drama. Director Lee Jae Kyu revealed that the kissing scene between Lomon and Cho Yi Hyun had almost been removed per the writer Chun Sung Il’s suggestion.
On this, the writer explained, “There were long periods of silence in an urgent zombie outbreak situation. The characters were constantly on the move, but the scene was too still so I thought it would be the best to edit out the scene.” He added, “But when later I saw the scene, I thought it was great.”
Seeing Lomon’s grin while watching the kiss scene, the director teased, “Lomon can’t stop smiling. Do you remember how many takes we took for that scene?” In response, the actor said that they took 17 takes for the scene and surprised everyone.
Cho Yi Hyun said, “It took pretty long, so I felt sorry for Lomon. I couldn’t find where his lips were because I had my eyes shut.” She made everyone laugh by saying, “I asked Lomon to try it one more time and he was like, ‘Sure!'”
